Happy 3 Years!

A lot has happened since the last time we posted a blog:  I had a girls trip to the beach, we spent Memorial Day on JJ’s Uncle’s farm with his family, and we went to Franklin for the Terick Family Reunion! To say the least it’s been a busy month or so and it’s just going to get busier.

A few days ago we celebrated our 3 year anniversary. Our anniversary fell on a Wednesday this year, we went to dinner at one of our favorites, Nofo in Raleigh, which was so good! But  since we didn’t really get to celebrate on Wednesday JJ planned an entire day for us on Saturday, and I mean the entire day..it was great!

The day consisted of a lot of eating and activities. We started the day with breakfast at the Flying Biscuit, we then went to the farmers market got some fresh produce and did some people watching, drove around Raleigh, then lunch at the Pit, then we went to Fletcher Park to swing, read, and relax. While at the park I had been laying for a while and decided to lay on my back for a little because every other position was now uncomfortable. I’m not supposed to lay flat on my back so I don’t do it often, but after about 30 seconds of laying there I felt something all of a sudden…the baby move! It was the coolest feeling. The doctors say at this stage of the pregnancy I’m the only one that will be able to fill it, but I told JJ and he was able to feel it too! What a great anniversary present from baby!

We then made our way to Durham. The Independent was having their annual awards party and where we had dinner we were able to hear the live music and be a part of the festivities. We had already bought our tickets to the Durham Bulls game, but wanted to explore the event a little more. We ran into some friends and had a good time talking to them for a while, but then decided to head to the game. We got there during the 5th inning and they were loosing pretty badly. We watched for a few innings then decided to head home during the 8th inning. It was a great day and a great 3rd anniversary! Thankful for where the Lord has brought us over the past 3 years and looking forward to welcoming baby bear into our family and seeing what the Lord has in store for us in the future.

I put some of the pictures from our day below!
